Was held at Seri Teja, Precinct 9, Putrajaya last night (14 May 2010). Guests of honour were two newly promoted officers, Brig Gen Dr Shabbar Hussein and Lt Kol Norazman Ismail. That was the first time also I met Dr Shabbar since we left RMC in 1986.

RMC OPA Sg Besi-Port Dickson Cycling Escapade 07-07-07
In conjuction with the Old Putera batch '57 Golden Jubilee celebration, a cycling event was organised this morning from the Royal Military College Sg Besi to the former Federation Military College in Port Dickson. There were around 50 participants...OPs, wife OP, son of OPs and also kawan-kawan OPs took part. The bikes pulak, ranging from the cheapest RM500 Proton MTB up to RM21K roadbike ... padan la diaorang ni kayuh mcm pelesit.
The route taken was Sg-Besi --> Sg Merab ---> Bukit Unggul --> Jenderam --> Salak Tinggi --> SIC Formula 1 --> Bukit Pelandok --> Lukut --> Port Dickson. Overall time taken was 5 and half hours. Well..to tell u the truth, i didn't make it throughout the journey. Out of nearly 90 km, I only cycled almost half of the distance only....ie the first 20 km and the last 20 km. Blame it on the flu (bukan bird flu ehhh) that I am having now (excuseeeee)...hehehehe.
These are among my OP friends caught in action....

OPA Nite and Day
It was a long weekend for most of us who have studied (and being tortured) in RMC. It started with our OPA Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday morning and followed by our Old Putera Association Annual Dinner at Shangri-la Hotel in the evening and OPA Day at RMC Sg Besi on Sunday.

Golf @ RMC
That was my first time playing golf at RMC Golf Club. I have been 'seeing' the golf course since my RMC days and even 'use' the golf course during water shortage by having bath at one of the sprinkler on the golf greens.
It was a tough course...golfers say "commando course". Naik bukit turun bukit. I've lost two new golf balls over the one-nine game.
The views from the golf course were really nice. See some the pics below.

OPA Belimbing Ride
This year's OPA Day falls on 21 May 2006, slightly earlier than the past years. As usual, I would not want to miss the opportunity to visit my alma mater, the Royal Military College in Sungei Besi. We normally had agame carnival between the Old Putera and Present Putera in various games like football, rugby, hockey, volleyball, tennis, takraw, basketball, etc .... to win the Piala Radzi (named after Dato' Radzi Sheikh Ahmad...of course an Old Putera).
This year I reached RMC at 8.15 am to take part in the MTB (mountain bike) Cross Country a.k.a.Belimbing Ride, together with the Present Puteras. The route started from the college padang to the golf course, then up to the Boys' Wing and then into the infamous jungle track that we used to sneak out to Balakong.... either to get the Tong Fong bus to KL or to buy cigarettes , passing thru the Belimbing plantation ( heyyyy...i didn't see any belimbing laaaa).
There were around 15 PPs and more than 10 OPs took part in the MTB Cross Country, led by OP Azudin (an ex-battle commander who turned into a reborned-cyclist). The oldest participant was OP Frank who is already 65 (that's what people told me).
