KN800

Today, i bid farewell to my Technics KN800, a multitimbral keyboard with built-in MIDI sequencer. Bought it in 1991 this little machine served me well especially during my lonely days as a bachelor in Kuantan. Since I bought a new Casio Digital Piano, Previa PX-400R in Dec 2004, I seldom play my KN800 and today i decided to give it away to my good friend for his son.

Farewell to Mazia

Mazia, our HR Exec, will be leaving our company, SD on 2nd May 2006 (the day i celebrate my 4th anniversary working in SD). If I am not mistaken, she joined SD sometime in 2003 and her 'cubicle' was right in front of me. Basically she's a quiet person but sometimes she would 'mix' with others when there were 'hu-ha' in the office, especially during the last hour before going home. At this point of time, i m still not sure where and why she decided to leave us...but one thing for sure, it must be for a better place (and pay???) hehehe.....

To Maziah (if u can read this), i and my dept would like to thank you for all your support and co-operation during your stay in SD, especially when involving training. Thank you also for your support in almost all social and sport events in the company, especially the 10km races that we have been participating together with other colleagues.

We wish u all the best in your carrier and life.

It's Wednesday!!!

Wednesday is the college-tie day. Either u put on your college neck-tie or kena 'change parade' next Saturday afternoon. Today in DSA, the four of us in our company who happenned to study in Royal Military College (RMC) wear our college tie. That includes our CEO, who is standing 3rd from left. Bukan RMC ajer, MCKK (they started this 'tradition' first, i think), Alam Shah, SDAR ex-students also wear their college ties on Wednesday. For girls school eg TKC and STF, i donno what they wear today...maybe something that we cannot see ;-)

DSA 2006

DSA 2006 datang lagi. As usual the company I am working participates in this kind of exhibition. To my friends out there, come and visit our booth in Hall C. FYI, the exhibition is NOT openned for public. However, if you wish to visit, please call me...for those who have my number larrrrr. Boleh adjust!

My First Moleskine

I received my first Moleskine notebook from Abedib today which he bought for me in Singapore last week.

What is actually Moleskine? Moleskine Notebooks are oilcloth-covered notebooks, manufactured by Modo and Modo of Italy, based on a design by a small stationer in Tours, France. The standard Moleskine Notebook measures 9 x 14cm and features the following: lightweight, acid-free paper, a foldable pocket in the back cover, a cloth ribbon attached to the spine to serve as a bookmark, and a woven elastic band attached to the back to keep the book closed when not in use. The name (officially pronounced mol-a-skeen-a, although it can vary) comes from the French spelling of 'moleskin', which the oilcloth covering resembles, and is a trademark of Modo and Modo.

Farewell Encik Din

Encik Nordin Bustamam (standing left), the Kerteh Airport Manager is retiring from Petronas on this coming 1st May 2006. He was an Air Traffic Controller from the Department Of Civil Aviation Malaysia in the 70's before joinning Petronas.

En Din, if u can read this, I would like to wish u happy retiring. I personally, will always remember all your kindness to me for the last two years. You have been like a father to me all these while (and you have the same name as my father too!). I hope you will be in good health and enjoy what you are going to do after retiring....especially flying your model aircraft :-) What else can i say other than THANK YOU!

My New Proton

Finally I received my new Proton T-Blaze last Thursday after i placed my order one week earlier. Before i take up cycling, i jog regularly but with this new toy, i can cover more distance when i cycle around Bandar Baru Bangi. This bike is just an entry level of Proton T-Bike Series. When fitted with my handheld GPS, it indicates my speed, distance, time and even logs my tracks/routes covered. Now i cycle whenever there is opportunity, even after i come back from work at 9 pm at night :-)

Angkasawan

Just got these pics from my friend who snapped them during the Angkasawan Selection in Kuantan, Sep 2005. I was one of 11,275 hopeful applicants which was vetted and narroweed down to 2,000 people. The first test was a 3.5 km race held on Saturday, 27 August in Kuantan, Pahang. The first group of 62 candidates was flagged off by MOSTI Minister, Dato' Jamaluddin Jarjis. However....i didn't make it. Out of 62 candidates, only 12 passed the test (the time limit was 20 minutes). If only I could run 2 minutes faster, I could be in the headline in the newspapers the next morning. Nasib baik I didn't qualify (nak menyedapkan hati), kalau tidak dah sure kena pergi training kat Moscow 2 tahun, kena resign kerja, tinggal family etc. Lagipun....naik Soyuz tak best la....hahahaha.

Salam dari Padang Kota Lama

Padang Kota Lama dah tak macam dulu. Tak ada lagi kerusi meja tepi tembok tepi pantai. Tak ada lagi gerai-gerai beroda. Semua dah masuk ke dalam gerai-gerai batu. Seri dan kemeriahannya dah hilang.

Yang tinggal hanyalah kenangan lama mengusik jiwa. Kenangan bersama sanak saudara yang suatu ketika dulu beramai-ramai menjamu selera di sini.

Yang tinggal juga adalah himpunan passemboq, sotong bakar, sotong kangkung, laicikang dan jugak laksa-laksa yang masih tidak berubah rasanya.

Sama...tapi tak serupa.

Me and my golf

It has been more than ten years since i started playing golf. I must confess that i am actually a social golfer. Why? Simply because my performance is still like a beginner...hahahaha. While other serious golfers play at least once a week, I play once in two or three months. Where got time maaaaaa. A round of 18-round golf requires at least 4 to 5 hours to complete. It is very time consuming. Furthermore, it's quite expensive laaaa.

Anyway, here is my pic during my golf last week. Played with some old friends at Bangi Golf Resort. Seronok bukan baik coz my friends' handicap were like me, so we enjoyed the game. No pressure. I wish that i can find more time and suitable friends to play with me. I wish also one day i can play like Tiger Woods :-)
