AFTERNOON - PALM BTM

STARBUCK KL SENTRAL - 2.30pm. BTM stands for "Black Thing Meeting". It is a PalmX bi-monthly event where Palm users around Klang Valley meet up to talk, 'show-off' their latest gadgets and share information on Palm. The word 'Black-Thing' was chosen those days because Palmtops at that time were all black in colour. However nowadays almost all Palms are not black anymore. They are now either in silver or dark gray colour. Our most senior member and founder, Abedib presented a talk on GTG which stands for 'Get Things Done'....it was about how to get things done in life or work with your little gadgets, ie Palm. Being more than 25 years in Civil Engineering and Project Management, Abedib recapped his true experience why certain projects failed and how to implement correct and effective ways of recording and tracking things.

EVENING - OPA GONG XI FA CAI FAMILY GATHERING

OPA PENTHOUSE, SAUJANA RESORT, SUBANG - 8.30 pm. The Old Putera Association (OPA) organised a family gathering in conjunction of Chinese New Year at its building at Saujana Resort. Arround 50+ RMC Old Boys attended with wife and children.

Old Putera Habibur Rahman, the OPA President started the gathering with a short speech (see pic) before the makan-makan and chit-chatting session start.

Menu - ice kacang, char kue teaw, mee goreng, laksa, mee kari, BBQ lamb etc

However, I and IWS decided to leave the gathering early since most of the OPs attended were orang tua ;-)

Puteri Gunung Ledang

Wowwwww.....bestttt gilerrrrr!!!! (pinjam kata-kata Afdlin Shauki). Tak payah la i nak buat ulasan teater kat sini. Dalam web pun dah belambak dah. To cut short, here are the good part and not so good part:

Good:
1. AC Mizal as Gusti Adipati, the Raja Majapahit. When we met him after the play, he told other people that I was his senior and pernah ragging dia kat RMC dulu. And I replied I feel proud also to have ragged a Raja Majapahit. Well done, bro!

2. Tiara....of course la, dia la heronyer. She was natural and can sing maaaaaa (but her voice was still not as good as my Puteri Gunung Ledang).

3. Stephen Rahman - pun bagus jugak. Cuma kengkadang ada terdengar pelat dia. Overall OK. Tapi kalau M Nasir or i yang jadi Hang Tuah, lagi bagus rasanya.

4. Music - memang bagus. I and Afdlin Shauki (who sat near me in the same row) enjoyed the music. Sooooo live, walhal dia pakai keyboards ajer. Tapi percussion dan all the gongs betui wooooo...tu yang real.

5. Pelakon-pelakon lain, baik yang lelai maupun yang pompuan sebab semuanya berkemban....kekekeke.


Not So Good:
1. Again.....AC Mizal (sorry brudder, gua kena kutuk sket). His voice as Raja Majapahit and masa dia nyanyi tak sama. Bila dia cakap jadi Raja Majapahit, punya la garang, tapi bila time nyanyi...suara keluar macam lagu gerak khas ajer. Dia banyak terikut Alex Komang. Kalau dia guna style sendiri, lagi bagus.


Among the phrases i can still remember in PGL are:

"Cintamu umpama cahaya matahari yang membakar mukaku" - PGL

"Tanganku terikat ke langit, kakiku terpasak ke bumi....jasad tak setanding mimpi" - Hang Tuah

"Kuhinakan diriku mencintaimu....." - PGL

"Aku juga punya hak untuk mencinta...dan dicintai" - PGL

"Kita semua punyai impian....tetapi kita juga punyai hak" - Gusti Adipati Handaya Ningrat

"Sehiris beta luka...se-Melaka akan terasa" - Sultan Mahmud




To Afdlin....thanks again brudder. Macam gua kata semalam, kalau sekali lagi lu datang tengok (kali ke empat), lu boleh ganti Hang Tuah. Lepas ni, gua cadangkan lu buat teater lu pulak "Baik Punya Cilok The Musical"...hehehe
