It was Uncle Din's birthday and we decided to bring him and Auntie Chom for the concert. And this time brought mama along who came all the way from Ipoh that Saturday morning.

Dato' Ahmad Jais was fantastic. His songs are evergreen and were not unfamiliar to younger generation like us. Haziq AF4 was even superb. His voice was sometime better than the original singer itself...ada power. Among the song that i like is Umpan Jinak Di Air Tenang...a joget number which became the opening song by Dato' Ahmad Jais. Rasa macam nak joget....

I guess Mama was even more excited than us. It was her first time at Istana Budaya and enjoyed herself during the concert. Maybe Ahmad Jais's songs brought her memory back to the mid 60's with arwah bapak, when all of us were not borned yet. After the concert, she whispered to us to book for her the next concert...Tribute to P.Ramlee.

Lega...it's all over. It was not a good race. Reached Dataran Merdeka 5 mins late when everybody has started running. Kat starting point sempat pulak salam and sembang dengan Tok Min, who is the Organising Committee Chairman.

Yes, it was not a good run. I clocked only 1 hr 21 mins. Jalan kaki banyak sebab my heartbeat rate often pass my level 4 limit, ie 166 bpm. Anyway lega la sebab i completed the race.

Bunyi macam gempak, hehehe...actually I'm going to take part in the 10km Fun Run ajer. Tak kuasa aku lari 42km full marathon.

Camnapun, this is going to be my warm-up event before my next event...The A'Famosa International Triathlon on 7 - 8 Apr 2007.....chewahhhh.

OPA Kong Hi Fatt Choy Nite

Last Saturday Night, the Old Putera Association (OPA) organised an OPA CNY BBQ at OPA Penhouse in Subang. Attended with my wife and children. The food were plenty and marvelous...ada BBQ kambing, laksa, mee rebus, popiah basah and many many more but unfortunately there were not enough OPs to finish-up the food.

Among the YOPs attended were Medon, Che Mang, Stupe, Khairul and Nuzul with their families.

Long Weekend in KT

There were six cars from the The Osman's family departed for Kuala Terengganu on 17 Feb 2007. Out of that six, only one car followed East-West highway from Ipoh while the others were from KL and used the LPT and Terengganu coastal road. We pushed off from Uncle Mail's house around 8 am and our first stop was R & R Temerloh. We had our home prepared nasik lemak in one of the gazebos. Our next checkpoint was Toll Plaza Kuantan where i was instructed to lead the car convoy staright to Terengganu. We stopped by Kg Geliga in Chukai for our quick lunch and then continued our journey. I and Uncle Din sempat jugak pekena our kopi at Kedai Kopi Hai Peng, while the rest proceed straight to KT. We finally reached our destination, Atikah Bungalow in Batu Buruk after Asar.

Second day in KT, the ladies took this golden opportunity
to go to Pasar Payang while the men either accompanied them
up to the car park or stayed at the bungalow.

Visiting Wan Chik and Pakcik Shidee house near Kuala Ibai. We have not met Wan Chik for years, since we left Kuantan in year 2000. They were staying in Kerteh then before moving to KT in year 2000.

Third day in KT, we were supposed to hire a boat for 20 pax to go to Pulau Kapas. But that morning we were informed that there was a break-in into mama's house in Ipoh. There goes our Pulau Kapas and we all decided to cut short the holiday and went back to Ipoh via East-West Highway.

With Wan Ruzima, a long lost friend in UTM who is also the owner of STR Sdn Bhd,
a distributor of batik and silk for Pasar Payang.
