My First DIY On My Merc

I've just got another area to DIY after visiting Pak Cik Shidi in Kuala Terengganu last week. He maintains his BMWs (7-Series and 5-Series) by himself and suggested to me to get Haynes Service And Repair Manual. So, I bought one at MPH Kinta City Ipoh and straight away I tried (yes...TRIED) my first DIY ... to repair my headlights. My headlights were not working and according to the mechanics, they suspected the switch was not working properly or defective. The other lights...small lights, fog lights are all working good.

It was supposed to be an easy task but being a first timer on Merc, things can get complicated due to infamiliarity. Thanks to the manual which shows step-by-step photos how to do it.

To cut story short, I hv succesfully replaced the switch with a new one which I bought at Keras Jaya Auto Parts, Taman Maluri for RM168. Other shop in Sg Chua quoted RM280. Luckily i did call many shops....thanks again to MyBenz Directory.

I do not know how much money i have saved but one thing for sure i feel satisfied. My headlamps are all working now and the most important...i did it myself. Thank god there are no extra screw left ;-))

My next project will be repairing the right rear door. Cannot open from inside. Wish me luck :-))

Life Without A PC

It has been 3 working days i hv been surviving in a workplace without a PC. While waiting for a new PC/Notebook from my new company, i hv to borrow colleagues' PCs. So no surfing...no YM...suma ellekkkk. I can only check my emails from time to time via my Nokia 9300 and write things in my Moleskine. Writing this blog? At home maaaa..... So, how is it like...without PC? Seronok!!! Lega bila tak de notebook, boleh singgah sana-sini without hv to worry leaving the notebook in the car trunk. Rasa aman damai pun ada. How about u? Can u live without a personal PC in the office?
