Farewell Bro

Another friend is leaving us for a greener pasture outside. Today is KAAS last day in office. First met him in 2002 when i joined the company and became closer when we shared the same office room in 2004. Other than having the same first name, we share many other things (....including problems) in common ;-)

To bro KAAS, I wish u good luck in your new job. Thank you for all you support to our dept (SATMS) and also personally to me, especially when we organized LIMA 05 together. Enjoy your new job and keep in touch.

What have I done to My New Moleskine?

Since I got my Moleskine sketchbook, I started to pick-up what I left for almost 20 years....drawing. I like to draw. I have been enjoying art classes during my school days and even I dropped Biology subject in my SPM and took Art subject (Lukisan). However, after 20 years, I know my skill has deteriorated so much, especially when 'playing' with colours. With current working environment, petrol price hike and global warming, I find that this long lost hobby is so relaxing and could bring me into another world of my own....plus lowering down my blood pressure and cool me down from stress. Thanks to my children who had lend me their water colour and colour pencils.

My Mini Market?

Pssssttttt...jangan habaq kat orang, KA dah ada Mini Market. Located at Sg Merab, Bangi. Macam-macam adaaaaa..... heh heh heh

Suara Jamal memang sangat bagus....masih tak berubah, macam dulu. Cumaaaaa....gaya dia, tak bagus. Menggelitik tak tentu arah. Macam clown pun ada. Jamal macam sakit. Macam orang kena Parkinson. Aku balik rumah dengan hampa...tak puas.

My Second Moleskine

I thought I was stupid to buy this type of Moleskine notebook for more than RM50 last month, but two days ago, I've already bought another one.... this time a sketch notebook type.

Nowadays I seldom use my Palm PDA except to store my contacts and schedules. Again.... thanks to Abedib for introducing this 'stupid expensive' notebook :-)

Semalam my company organized a bowling outing, held at Endah Parade. Dah lama company tak buat bowling. I pun dah lama tak main, semenjak patah tangan Sep 2005 yang lepas. Dah lama tak main, score OK pulak. Alahhhh...dapat la 149 satu game tu. Yang datang pun ramai....more than 15 staff. Ni la turn up paling ramai dalam sejarah. Selalunya 4-5 orang ajer. Roy siap beli glove lagi....nampak member tengah semangat. Nampak bola pergi pun makin cantik.

OPA Belimbing Ride

This year's OPA Day falls on 21 May 2006, slightly earlier than the past years. As usual, I would not want to miss the opportunity to visit my alma mater, the Royal Military College in Sungei Besi. We normally had agame carnival between the Old Putera and Present Putera in various games like football, rugby, hockey, volleyball, tennis, takraw, basketball, etc .... to win the Piala Radzi (named after Dato' Radzi Sheikh Ahmad...of course an Old Putera).

This year I reached RMC at 8.15 am to take part in the MTB (mountain bike) Cross Country a.k.a.Belimbing Ride, together with the Present Puteras. The route started from the college padang to the golf course, then up to the Boys' Wing and then into the infamous jungle track that we used to sneak out to Balakong.... either to get the Tong Fong bus to KL or to buy cigarettes , passing thru the Belimbing plantation ( heyyyy...i didn't see any belimbing laaaa).

There were around 15 PPs and more than 10 OPs took part in the MTB Cross Country, led by OP Azudin (an ex-battle commander who turned into a reborned-cyclist). The oldest participant was OP Frank who is already 65 (that's what people told me).

Ipoh White Coffee

This Old Town Kopitiam was claimed to be the original kopitiam that serves famous Ipoh White Coffee in Ipoh Old Town....wallahualam. We spent our last Hari Raya Aidil Adha holiday in Ipoh by visiting kopitiams.....almost every norning and night. What else to do, maaaa. Both I and my wife like Ipoh white coffee, served with toast and half boiled eggs. Pricewise, these coffees at kopitiams are much cheaper than Starbucks or San Francisco. A cup of Ipoh White Coffee costs RM1.60. Just imagine laaaa.

About Ipoh White Coffee (extracted from Wikipedia)

Ipoh "White" Coffee is a roast of coffee prepared using a unique method that combines elements of modern approaches with traditional Malaysian brewing practices. The term "white coffee" originates from the literal translation of its Chinese name.

Traditionally, Malaysian style "black" coffee roast (also known as Hainanese coffee; not to be confused with the serving style of coffee without milk) is produced by roasting the beans with sugar and margarine. "White" coffee, on the other hand, is produced with only margarine and without any sugar, resulting in a roast that is less dark, hence the term "white" coffee. Note that the idea that white coffee is produced from a different species of coffee is a common misconception; the species normally used in this roast is the Robusta.
The name "white coffee" is associated with Ipoh, due to it originating from Ipoh (in particular, its Old Town). Exceedingly popular in Ipoh, "white" coffee is slowly but steadily gai

Awana Genting

We all went up to Awana Genting again. The last time we were here was in 2003. Thanks to Cek Man who rented his company's apartment. We have almost the same crowd as last time except Aya. Spent a good three days two nights there. Weather was pretty good although it was raining on the first day when we arrived.

The above pic was taken using my Samsung SGH-600 camera phone
while sipping coffee and enjoying Brazillian cigar

Talkin untuk Ghaz

Saudaraku Ghaz,

Sg Congkak

Lama tak ke sini, last sekali pada tahun 1982, buat jungle training masa kat RMC dulu. Kali ni datang dengan family. Orang punya la ramai, nak parking pun susah. Air pun keruh....agaknya ramai yang berendam sepanjang sungai tu kot. My two sons, memula tak hendak masuk air, maklum la, dah biasa dengan swimming pool, tapi bila dah mula mandi sampai tak nak naik atas. Airnya sejuk jugak. Kami bawak lunch....makan bawah pokok, berselera makan. Seronok.

Nampak kureng sikit...kena cari Moleskine Sketchpad pulak dohhhhh lepas ni ;-)
