The Tables Reunion

Razak DaBomb was my engineer colleague while serving in Kuantan more than 5 years ago. He was called 'DaBomb' simply because of his expertise in that kind of "thing" (cannot write here...subject to global Blog Search) while in service. In one of the Mess Night in 1999, due to the absence of Band Tambor 4 bgd, both of us decided to form-up an ad-hoc two-piece band and performed the whole night. He played the bass guitar while i played the keyboard. Our duet was called "The Tables"...given spontaneuosly by the MC of the night simply because we were both mejar at that time .... hahaha.

Razak's visit to my house yesterday brought a long lost excitement and joy for a home-made musician like me....especially after leaving the service more than 4 years. With his electric guitar (complete with guitar expander and mobile amplifier) that he brought along, we didn't take too much time talking and setting up the musical instrument before playing our first song "Jujur", then followed by "Hari Ini Dan Semalam", "I Will Survive" and many-many more. I admit that we need a lot more practices to make our performance better but yesterday's sound was not too bad at all...at least my neighbours must be wondering whether there was a new pub operating in their neighbourhood. Nasib la...bukan selalu.

Before he left home, we promised to meet up and have more sessions like this in future.
