Istana Budaya. To be frank also, that was not my first time, in fact my second time. Both my wife and I were actually there to watch Konsert Melodi Emas Ahmad Nawab II when everybody was requested to stand up and sing our national anthem Negaraku. It was a very proud moment for me, at least, to be in that prestigious hall and sang our national anthem together with thousand others. And everytime I passed Istana Budaya, I can proudly say that I've already sung there! he he he
Konsert Melodi Emas II is the sequel to Konsert Melodi Emas I that was held on 13-15 September 2002. Among the guest artists were DJ Dave, Khaty Ibrahim, Latiff Ibrahim, Ramlah Ram, Salamiah Hassan, Shidee, Syafinaz and Anuar Zin. Ahmad Nawab songs were not unfamiliar to me and I was proud to say that i know almost all his songs. Those songs were my arwah father's favourite when i was small and often heard either played on our car stereo or at home. Watching last night concert reminds me of arwah....and I thought if he is still alive, I'll sponsor the best seat that I can afford as a present for Father's Day.
