Cycling Routes Around Putrajaya

Diplomatic Enclave is where the Mydin Store located in Putrajaya. Park your car somewhere near a kedai mamak. You will riding on tarmac uphill and then going downhill on horse trail, also on tarmac but very narrow.

Wetland is a nice place to cycle and good for beginners who want to experience first off road trail. The trail is flat but you have to be carefull when riding on the crusher run trail. Bring a lot of water and your camera too.

The ride starts at Teja@Wetland, somewhere next to Taman Botani. After the ride, do not forget to have your breakfast at Teja.

This is the route where beginner rider like me rides during Putrajaya Night Ride. Basically you will ride from infront of Masjid Putrajaya to the PICC and then head to Desa Pinggiran Putrajaya using the Putrajaya Outer Ring Road but turn back at Precinct 4 (near DCA/KKBS building) and head back to Masjid Putrajaya. It is called Chicken Loop because of its shorter route whereas a tougher rider will go straight on the highway to Alamanda before turning back to Masjid Putrajaya (approx 20km).

Taman Cabaran is also known as Putrajaya Challenge Park (PCP). It has 6 well-designed bike trails for all types of riding pattern, from beginner to hardcore, from endurance to downhill. Located at Precinct 5 but you have to pass through Precinct 20, the famous Putrajaya Cemetery to get there.

Precinct 16 is a place to ride and do bird watching. There is a small island on the lake where you can see many species of birds on the trees. You will be riding on bicycle/jogging track along the way. To get there, park your car at a car park located behind Jabatan Perdana Menteri Parcel B.

Horse Trail 2 at Diplomatic Enclave is a tarmac narrow road meant for horse. You will be riding uphill to the top of the hill and come downhill on a normal road. To get here, you can either park your car near Mydin or cycle from Alamanda. Good for beginners who wants a lil bit of challenge riding uphill and downhill. Beware of horse dung!
